My name is Joseph Flora and I’m the Owner/Operator of J. Flora Plumbing Corporation.

Tell us about your organization’s mission and what makes your business unique.
We conduct construction and renovations including kitchen, bathroom, and shower remodels. I have a team of great people in industries including framing, cabinet making, and tiles, and so we’re able to streamline all of that for our clients’ projects. I’m currently working on a historical home in Hingham, and nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on the faces of my clients when they walk in to see the finished project.

What led you to bank with South Shore Bank? 
It started with the great team of people that are here. Everyone here at the Bank is easy to work with. I’ve been a personal client for a long time now and have had nothing but great experiences using the Bank’s tools and resources, so it made sense to partner with South Shore Bank for my business.

How has the Bank helped you in the early stages of getting your business off the ground?
When I sat down with Marcy Casarano, Senior Personal Banking Advisor at the Poole’s Corne location, she helped me take the necessary steps to get my business set up. She introduced me to Laurie Dunn, Banking Center Officer, who provided excellent referrals for an attorney and an accountant that are local to the area. I also met with Moran-Lee Greene, Treasury Management Relationship Manager, who introduced me to advanced business accounts to consider in the future as well as establish a connection to Paychex, which has allowed me to set up an operating and payroll account with them. I feel like the journey has begun for my business to run seamlessly and successfully.  

What are future aspirations for your business and how can South Shore Bank help you reach them?
I’m aspiring to be a go-to plumbing solution in the area that’s ready whenever you are for a remodel, expansion, or build. With the growth of my business, there will be expected needs such as tools, vehicles, and equipment. I look forward to working with the Bank to make these possible.

I highly recommend South Shore Bank. The Bank has been essential for me both as a personal consumer as well as for the startup of my business.
