What is Leadership South Shore?
Leadership South Shore was established in 2016 by South Shore Bank in partnership with the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. This celebrated program selects participants from a pool of applicants and then leads the participants through a yearlong experiential learning curriculum.
Why this Program?
Leaders and emerging leaders play an important role in the workplace, in their homes and in our communities. As such, it is important that they be well versed in the opportunities and challenges unique to our region and that knowledge of community issues be channeled into transformative, positive community influence. Informed leaders make informed decisions.
Leadership South Shore was established to develop, connect and inspire a diverse group of experienced and emerging leaders in order to increase civic engagement, build vibrant communities and strengthen the region.
This yearlong, "thought provoking" community leadership program examines regional issues through the perspectives of experts, on-site visits, readings, discussion groups, and other experiential activities. Programs take place October through May with a September graduation date. Read about our latest Program Day.
