Environmental Pools

Environmental Pools has been in business for over 35 years. Andy Everleigh, CEO, sat down to speak with us about the partnership he has formed with South Shore Bank, and why he feels confident in this relationship to bring success to his business over the many years to come.

What does Environmental Pools do?
Our business specializes in building all in-ground, custom gunite swimming pools. We focus on the high-end, high-detail type of projects. Environmental Pools services and maintains roughly around 800 clients and we build anywhere from 80 to 150 pools in a year. Outside of the construction side of things, we also service throughout New England as well.

What is a recent change your business made that sparked the desire to seek a new banking partner?
So about six years ago, we were really busting at the seams of the location that we were in. Because of this, we opted to move to the town of Bolton. The whole property is 18 acres. There’ll be another building going up here in the next month that we’ll use for warehousing and storage as well.

How did you get connected with South Shore Bank?
I was brought to South Shore Bank by a client of mine – someone that I respect and trust. He knew that we were venturing into this facility to grow our business, and so he connected me to South Shore Bank. We sat down and talked about what my plans were both for this facility and the business as we move forward through the next 5, 10, and 20 years. We worked hand-in-hand with that to really kick the relationship up.

What tools has the Bank provided to help your business reach its goals?
South Shore Bank has helped with the funding side of the building as well as the business banking that we are now doing on a day-to-day basis. We utilize their mobile deposit system daily and we use all of their online banking tools to allow us to review and reconcile the bank that we have.

What makes the relationship with South Shore Bank so special?
A slogan that we have at Environmental Pools is “Design Excellence with a Personal Touch”. I think the personal relationship side of things is really what attracted me the most to South Shore Bank. It's important to have the ability to make a call or have other people in my office reach out to the Bank at any time with any question and have those inquiries answered. At the pace we work at, we need that type of response. Referrals are important to me, and I think I’d be highly likely to refer South Shore Bank to friends, families, and colleagues that we work with.
