Staying Informed on COVID-19

Update: June 5, 2020

Thank you for your loyalty and support during these difficult times.

As the world rapidly evolves around us and our nation adapts, South Shore Bank remains more committed than ever to helping people, businesses, and community organizations bank smart and stay safe.

In accordance with Massachusetts policies and practices, we are preparing to welcome clients back into select locations, and will be taking the following precautions:

  • Greeter who welcomes clients and manages our limited occupancy
  • Required face coverings for clients and employees
  • Protective shields between all clients and employees
  • Hand sanitizer stations at all entrances/exits
  • Directional floor arrows that safely manage foot traffic
  • Floor markers showing clients where to stand at a safe distance
  • Deep cleaning and sanitizing procedures

We will update you as our plans progress—and will continue to find new ways to safely meet your banking needs.

 


Update: May 15, 2020

Effective Tuesday, May 19

As Massachusetts begins the four-phased approach to reopening our communities on May 18, the health and safety of our employees and our clients is our top priority. We will monitor conditions to determine when it is safe for clients to freely re-enter our offices. We will continue to service our clients at Drive Up Windows, ATMs, Face2Face Teller machines and through all of our online channels.  Our lobbies will continue to be by appointment and can be made by calling our Customer Information Center (CIC) at 781-682-3715 or 

South Shore Bank is very excited to welcome our clients and new clients back into our branch lobbies and our offices when the time is right, and it is safe. We have started preparing all our locations/ branches and South Shore Bank is moving forward to make sure our locations are comfortable and safe environments in this new normal. Currently, we do have many protection measures in place and will be adding more!

In order to have consistent hours, all drive-up locations will be open: Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm; Saturdays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while our lobbies remain closed.


Update: March 17, 2020

Lobbies Closed - Drive-ups OPEN

For the safety of our visitors and employees, and to do our part in reducing the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), effective Tuesday, March 17, all South Shore Bank banking offices will be limited to drive-up and ATM/Face2Face transactions only. All banking lobbies will be temporarily closed to the public until further notice.

Our Customer Information Center (CIC) will continue to be available for telephone assistance, and our online banking, mobile banking, and automated telephone banking line will continue to be in operation.

We are deeply committed to serving our clients and understand that financial institutions are a vital part of economic stability. As a community bank, we will continue to meet the needs of our clients and communities while maintaining a safe and healthy place of business for our clients and employees.

Ways you can continue to bank safely

Online and Mobile Banking – Pay bills, transfer money between accounts, check balances and recent account activity, deposit a check, set up alerts, and open a new account on our secure site.

Face2Face Live Teller ATMs – Have your ID available to cash a check, make a deposit of cash or check, withdraw cash, transfer funds between accounts, and check balances. Out "live" tellers will assist you through the video screen with your transactions or any questions you may have. The Face2Face ATMs are available M-F 7-7; Sat 7-2.

ATMs – Use your ATM or debit card to deposit cash or checks, withdraw or transfer funds between accounts, and check balances at our network of locations, including more than 8,000 7-Eleven ATMs throughout the country without incurring any fees or surcharges.

Precautionary Steps South Shore Bank is Taking

  • Keeping our employees informed and educated on prevention of the coronavirus (COVID-19)
  • Asking employees who are sick to stay home
  • Monitoring potential outbreaks
  • Branches are regularly thoroughly cleaned and disinfected
  • Increasing the number of sanitizer dispensers and disinfecting wipes throughout the branches and offices
  • Minimize the typical in-person contact by utilizing teleconference calls, video conferencing, and flexible work spaces
  • Encouraging the practice of "social distancing" when interacting with each other and clients
