What is Leadership South Shore?
Leadership South Shore was established in 2016 by South Shore Bank in partnership with the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. This celebrated program selects participants from a pool of applicants and then leads the participants through a yearlong experiential learning curriculum.
Why this Program?
Leaders and emerging leaders play an important role in the workplace, in their homes and in our communities. As such, it is important that they be well versed in the opportunities and challenges unique to our region and that knowledge of community issues be channeled into transformative, positive community influence. Informed leaders make informed decisions.
Leadership South Shore was established to develop, connect and inspire a diverse group of experienced and emerging leaders in order to increase civic engagement, build vibrant communities and strengthen the region.
This yearlong, "thought provoking" community leadership program examines regional issues through the perspectives of experts, on-site visits, readings, discussion groups, and other experiential activities. The program can accept up to 24 participants. The Class of 2019 is underway currently. The call for applications for the 2019-2020 Program (Class of 2020) will be opened late Spring 2019.
Who Should Apply:
Each year Leadership South Shore selects a diverse group of established and emerging leaders to participate in the program. Those who seek to advance their personal and professional development and who want to influence positive change and impact the quality of life in the community, are ideal candidates for Leadership South Shore. 2019-20 Program Schedule
How to Apply:
Applications for the 2019-20 Program are now available. Leadership Application 2019-2020
File or save the application to your computer. Complete the candidate portion. Have your employer complete the Employer Commitment Form and provide a letter of recommendation.
If you are self-employed or a CEO/President, supervisor portion is not applicable, and letter of recommendation can come from a professional peer.

Application Deadline is Friday May 24, 2019. Qualified applicants will be invited for an in-person interview.
There is a $500 Tuition Fee to participate in the program which covers all program-related activities and materials, meals during program days, and transportation to offsite programs.
