South Shore Bank’s Online Banking allows you to access your accounts from anywhere you have internet connection. You can view balances, transactions and transfer funds. You can even pay bills with just the click of a button. Plus, when you enroll in Mobile Banking, you can access your account information from any mobile phone with either text message or mobile web access.

5. Close your old account.

Once your South Shore Bank account has been opened and your direct deposit is being properly credited, you should notify your previous institution to close your account, using the Authorization to Close Account form. You should bring this form to South Shore Bank so we can notarize it for you. It is typically a good idea to have your former account remain open until your statement arrives to verify that all of your checks have cleared before closing the account. You should immediately destroy any ATM/Debit cards as well as your remaining checks. If you bring your checks to us, we’ll be happy to shred them for you.
